Cayuga Community College Women's Basketball dominated SUNY Adirondack on both ends of the court to earn a regional road win on Sunday.

In their final game of the fall semester, the Spartans surrendered just eight first-half points on their way to a 90-34 win. Four Spartans had at least 11 points in the game, with one player registering a triple-double and two others finishing with double-doubles.

Cayuga Coach Jim Alberici said the Spartans put together a complete game, rebounding well on both ends of the court and sharing the ball on offense.

"I was really excited with how unselfish we played today. We had 25 assists on 39 made baskets. That's great team basketball," said Alberici. "We played well defensively and rebounded well, too. This was a great way to end the semester and shows how much we've improved since our first game."

The Spartans controlled the game from the opening tip, scoring the first seven points and holding a 20-point lead at the end of the first quarter. By halftime the entire Spartans' roster had scored as the team built a lead of 51-8.

Cayuga continued to shoot well from outside and the paint in the third and fourth quarters, with their lead never dipping below 30 points.

Haley Mosch had a triple-double for Cayuga, with 26 points, 12 rebounds, 11 assists, six steals and four blocks. Xavia Evener and Sierra Murray had double-doubles, with Evener finishing with 24 points and 14 rebounds and Murray adding 11 points and a team-high 16 rebounds. Lexi Alberici had 20 points and eight assists.

Cayuga ends the first half of the season winning three of their past five games. Their next game is Saturday, January 11, when they host Tompkins Cortland Community College.
