Playing two players down due to injury...the Lady Spartans fell behind early and were unable to catch North Country in the NJCAA Region III contest at Emerson Field. Tia Segretto (Jordan-Elbridge) added to her career points total on a blast outside the box at the 29:47 mark in the first half. The first goal was assisted by freshman Theresa Miller (Southern Cayuga). Segretto also scored on a penalty kick in the second half. Freshman goalkeeper Breanne Becker (Lusby, MD) had 11 saves in net for the Lady Spartans.
The women and men's teams travel to Corning on Wednesday 9/5 to open up Mid-State Athletic Conference play.
