The Cayuga Spartan volleyball team traveled to Corning Community College where they participated in their first NJCAA Region III pod of the season.
The Spartans were 1-2 for the day falling to Broome CC and Corning CC, but battled back to win over Tompkins-Cortland CC in a long 5 set match. This is the first win of the season for Spartans. Cayuga's leaders were Katie Byrnes with 24 kills, Erin Kirchner with 50 assists, Taylor Acresti with 9 aces, and Kayla Jones with 8 blocks. The Spartan's next game is home vs. Davis College this Tuesday September 11, 2012 at 6:00pm.
