The Cayuga Spartans held their first volleyball POD this last weekend. The Spartans had a tough weekend facing Jamestown, Erie, and Niagara Community College. Cayuga was led by captains Katie Byrnes (Jordan-Elbridge, NY) and Erin Kirchner (Alberta, Canada) each putting up a great effort in all three matches. Durring the last match Kayla Jones (Fulton, NY) was cleared from the injured list and put up a great blocking effort against the Niagara Thunder Wolves. Cayuga's next match is home this Tuesday against the Corning Red Barrons, where we will honor upper class men Taylor Acresti (Auburn, NY) for her last home game of her career as a Spartan.
