The Cayuga Spartans took a hard loss at home last night to the Finger Lakes Community College Lakers. In a 0-3 loss, Freshman Shanna Shaff (Lansing, NY) still managed to maintain a .500 kill average and walk away with 12 digs.
After the match Coach McDonough stated, "It's never fun losing at home but sometimes teams just need to get a solid kick in the butt to wake them up. Finger Lakes did a great job controlling the match from the start and we mentally couldn't shake it. We will spend the next two days preparing for the Monroe POD and hopefully we see some improvement."
The Spartans play at Monroe CC this Saturday and will face, Monroe CC, Finger Lakes CC, and Alfred State College.
