Lady Spartans Success at Jefferson Tournament

This weekend the Cayuga women's volleyball team travelled to Jefferson for their annual season opening tournament. The team finished pool play 2-1 with wins over Onondaga Community College and Herkimer Community College and a Loss to Fulton Montgomery Community College. Some highlights from pool play included Nyasha Terry (Bronx, NY) leading the team with an outstanding .667 hitting percentage. Morgan Haberer (Central Square, NY) Also had a very nice .429 hitting percentage. The team as a whole had 22 aces in 6 games.

The team moved on to the playoffs where they lost a tough hard fought match to Corning Community College, fighting point for point before falling to a very talented team. The team continues to improve and has shown a very competitive spirit.
