Lady Spartans Hang Tough at Cara Bryant Tournament

This weekend the Cayuga Spartans Volleyball team travelled to OCC to participate in the Cara Bryant Tournament. The team came out ready and fought hard, but fell to OCC in the first match 2-0 losing the last game 24-26. Up next was North Hampton, A team ranked in the top ten nationally. The team again showed some grit and fought hard, but fell to them 2-0. On Saturday the team played Monroe CC and Jefferson CC starting slowly the team was unable to overcome early deficits. Some of the stars for the team were Makayla Stokes (Institute of Technology) leading the team with 47 digs. Holly Cook(Weedsport) was selected for the Tournament all-star team with her overall play and determination. The team has its' last home game this Wednesday against Corning CC.
