Hot Shooting by Patzke Leads Lady Spartans to Victory

Behind a record setting performance by Sydney Patzke (Phoenix, NY) the Lady Spartans won a hard fought 70-55 decision over visiting Fingerlakes Community College.  Patzke hit 9-13 three point attempts including a torrid 6-7 in the second half which enabled the Spartans to pull away after taking a 37-36 lead into intermission.  Sydney Patzke led all scorers with 27 points, while Maxine Williams (Jamestown, NY) scored 15 points, 8 rebounds, and 4 steals.  Breanne Becker (Lusby, MD) scored 13 points and had a team high 14 rebounds, while Lakin Mueller (Central Square, NY) chipped in with 5 points and dished out a team high 7 assists while having 3 steals.  The Spartans will look to keep things rolling when they host Herkimer Community College January 19th at 1 p.m.
