Despite playing very hard the entire game the Cayuga Lady Spartans dropped a 76-44 decision to Mohawk Valley who is the #1 ranked team in the region. Cayuga came out strong and was tied 13-13 with 2 minutes to play in the first quarter, five scoreless minutes for the Spartans led to a 15 point Mohawk lead and Cayuga was unable to cut into the deficit. Maxine Williams (Jamestown, NY) led the Spartans with 11 points and 6 rebounds, Lakin Mueller (Central Square, NY) scored 10 points and had 3 assists, Shaqueria Everson (Syracuse, NY) scored 9 points and Najhea Thompson (Syracuse, NY) added 8 points and had 3 steals. Cayuga is next in action January 5th, 2016 when they travel to Genesee C.C.
