Lady Spartans Show Class in Light of One-sided Loss

The Lady Spartans ran into a complete buzz saw this afternoon,on a beautiful crisp day on the campus of North Country Community College, falling to the Saints17-0.

The Spartans were outnumbered and still without team leader Brooke Mayville due to her knee injury yesterday, and simply could not muster up anything offensively through North Country's numbers and persistent pressure in the Spartans defensive third.

Coach Renaud was able to take something positive from the match, in light of the one sided affair, "Cayuga should be proud of the character our ladies showed throughout the full 90 minutes. We didn't get frustrated or chippy, and showed extreme class in a time of despair on the field. Our post game stretch emphasized 'keeping your head up,' and we did." Renaud continued on, "Coach Simmons and I saw a handful of things we can work on in order to make our system of play stronger."
