The Spartans took on the #1 team in the NJCAA Division III rankings this afternoon and came away with a 12-0 loss at the hands of the Hornets from Broome Community College.
Danielle Mayville continued her stellar and acrobatic play in goal for the Spartans, making 33 saves on the day, with a handful being peppered shots, one right after the other. Lindsay Cottrell also stepped up in the central midfield area, pushing forward and taking on the middle defense of the Hornets throughout the course of the match.
The Spartans return to the confines of Emerson Park this Saturday at 1 p.m. when they take on Jamestown Community College.
