The Lady Spartans closed out the home slate of their schedule on another beautiful afternoon at Emerson Park Field on Owasco Lake. An allowed early goal by Corning and then a non allowed goal 5 minutes later by the Madison Robillard, which appeared to the cross the line, would be all the Barons would need to secure the win, coming away with a 4-0 victory.
The Spartans were not without their chances as Madison Robillard and Chelsea Galuski would find cracks in the Baron defense, but were not able to get their shots on frame. Danielle Mayville continues to keep the Spartans in these close games with her performances, and she was nothing short of spectacular once again, putting her body on the ball in heavy rushes forward from Cornings pressure offense.
The Spartans close out the remainder of the season against two MSAC opponents, traveling North to Watertown to take on Jefferson (10/14) and south to Tompkins Cortland (10/16).
