Women’s Soccer Drops Home Opener vs William Smith

The Lady Spartans faced a tough season opener against William and Smith College at home on Friday 9/2….losing 8 to 0 in a hard fought battle. Cayuga kept the Herons close most of the first half creating several scoring chances of their own…but the strong offense of William and Smith was able to break through and put 3 quick, late first half goals and never looked back against the Lady Spartans defense and keeper.

"I was happy with a good portion of the game and thought our ladies worked very hard at the beginning of both halves", coach Robillard said after the game. "William Smith was a tough team with some strong players. I thought we deserved a better score line, but I am proud of the ladies for playing hard."

Cayuga travels to Mid-State Conference rivals Onondaga on Wednesday 9/7 at David Murphy Field on the OCC campus.
