Lady Spartans Hang Tought With TC3

Cayuga's Lady Spartans provided a ton of fast pace action as they hosted the lady Panthers of TC3 in conference play yesterday. With two very strong halves the Lady Spartans held a highly skilled, highly attack minded TC3 squad to a score line of 4 to 1.

Cayuga held very strong defensively for a bulk of the first half but the penetrating offense from the Lady Panthers were able to get 3 goals late in the first half.

The second half was all Cayuga!! After giving up a quick goal to TC3 the Lady Panthers, Cayuga put the fire into their game. With mush of the possession in the half the Lady Spartans put together string of passing that created chance after chance to score. Not allowing tons of shot the defense of TC3 held the floodgates of attacks by Cayuga time after time. But Cayuga was not to be denied. Cayuga's amazing second half goal came from sophomore phenome Michaela Breeze (Auburn, NY) who put away her ninth goal of the season after scoring off a beautifully placed corner kick from Paola Figueroa (, NY)

"I am super proud of the Ladies today, we played a full, strong 90 minute game with great defense and tons of scoring opportunities"", Coach Robillard said after the game. "We took a strong TC3 side and put pressure on them from the first whistle to the last. We had some really, really good contributions from Monica Espada(Auburn, NY) and  Miranda McGloon (Waterloo, NY) on defense and Destinee Frink (Auburn, NY) in goal was a wall."

Cayuga travels this weekend to face Leigh-Carbon CC in Pennsylvania
