Lady Spartans Suffer Tough Loss on the Road

Lady Spartan travel to Jamestown today and suffered another road lost to a strong Lady Jayhawks side. Cayuga again started strong holding Jamestown to a 0-0 tie for 30 minutes. But the Lady Jayhawk side was able to find the net 4 times in 15 minutes to end the half with 4 and the game with 10 goals.

Not to be shut out again the Cayuga's only goal came from sophomore Sensation Michaela Breeze (Auburn, NY) who netted her fifth for the season during a amazing individual effort dribbling past a strong Jamestown defense to neatly tuck it in the corner of the goal pass.

Cayuga Defense had 2 strong half with Standouts for the 4 in the Back. Bethy "Gopher" Murphy (Auroa, NY), Monica Espada (Auburn, NY), Destinee Frink (Auburn, NY), and Miranda McGLoon (Waterloo, NY) all worked for 90 minutes hard. Midfield newcomer  Brittany Bordonaro(Auburn, NY), and captain Jenna Alberici(Auburn, NY) both played very solid owning the middle of the field for the whole game.

"We are getting better and better and the ladies amaze me each game with their improvement and heart", Coach Robillard said after the game. "They work hard and you will not find a team with a bigger heart in the whole region. We are sub coming to some unlucky bounces of the ball but that's soccer and the ladies never put their heads down. It's impressive as a coach to watch these ladies play as they give it their all"
